Do you have cakes available in your case?

Currently we do not have cakes regularly available in our case for same day pickup. We do however have a selection of our dessert options daily! We advise calling ahead or placing your order online for all cakes. There are sometimes exceptions to this so it doesn't hurt to give us a call!

How much notice do you need for my order?

Depending on the time of year - we require a minimum of 72 hours notice for all custom and signature cakes. In the Fall and Spring seasons - we may require a minimum of 1-2 week lead time. Our recommendation is to inquire / order your cake as soon as you can.

You can order any signature cake / desserts via our website. If you are uncertain if we can meet your timeline, please call us to verify and see if we can assist you!

Do you deliver?

Yes we can offer delivery at an additional fee. Our delivery rate is calculated per mile . We have a $25 dessert minimum and a $15 minimum delivery fee. If you would like to inquire about how much delivery would cost please call us at (602) 274-BAKE (2253) or email us at info@abakeshop.com and provide us with the delivery address. Please note the fee does not include a tip for our drivers.

What is the process to order your custom desserts?

The best way to place a custom order would be to submit the form on this page here on our site! We recommend submitting your custom inquiry form at least 1-2 weeks prior to your pickup date so we have time to discuss all the details. After submitting this form we will try our best to get back to you as soon as possible with a quote via email. Once the pickup date, design and price has been decided through email we will ask you to either call or submit a payment online for your order. Please note we ask that this payment is complete at least 72 hours in advance of pickup. Once we have payment, your order is considered complete!

All of our custom cakes, cookies, pies, and more are baked from scratch and designed especially for you. That being said the pricing really depends on the design you are looking for. The pricing on our site would be the base pricing and sizing that we use. Any photos you can send to get a visual of what you are imagining will help us price your order! All price quotes for orders are sent via email.

Can I pick up my order on Sundays or Mondays?

Unfortunately we are closed Sundays and Mondays. Your order will need to be picked up on Saturday between 10am and 3pm. Please see our aftercare instructions for how to store it before you eat it.

How can I schedule a cake tasting?

What should I do after I've picked up my order?

For Cakes, Cupcakes, Bars, and Cake Pops: Please store in a refrigerator after you've picked up your desserts. You are going to want to bring it up to room temperature before you are going to enjoy them. The timing for this will depend on the size of the dessert. If you have leftovers after eating, please store in the fridge again for maximum freshness.

For Cookies: Cookies can be left out at room temperature. They are best kept in an airtight container if you are going to wait longer than 24 hours to eat them.

How should I cut my cake?

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?

In the event that you need to cancel your specialty order, you have up to 8 days prior to your event date to get a full refund; minus a 6% processing fee that aBakeshop will keep. If you cancel within 7 days of your event, aBakeshop will keep 25%, refunding 75% of the amount paid to the customer. If the product has already been made, aBakeshop will not issue any refunds. Please note that this does not apply to signed contracts.

What happens if I forget about my order?

For pickups: In the event that you forget to pick up your order we will try our best to give you a call, however we cannot guarantee any reminders. We are a busy shop and it is the customer's responsibility to pickup when they have designated. We do not issue refunds for orders that are already made and not picked up by customers.

If we give you a call and you cannot get here by the time we close we will certainly hold your cake for pickup the following day. If it has been more than 2 days and we have not heard from you regarding your pickup we will unfortunately have to discard your order and no refunds will be given.

For deliveries: Someone must be present to receive the delivery on all orders. In the event that we cannot complete the delivery no one is available we will contact you via phone. If we cannot reach you via phone we will have to return the order to our shop. If we return to our shop, you have the option for pickup or we will have to charge another delivery fee to attempt a second delivery.
